Sexy Slippers Requiem: A Rose By Any Other Name by Badgerman
Long one-shot, Japanese names. An odd crossover between BSSM and the world of Xai, whatever that is; it is not necessary to know Xai in order to enjoy this well-written story. King Endymion travels to another world to retrieve a pair of slippers that were given as a gift but have become a weapon against the Neo-Queen. Along the way, he meets some interesting strangers, both friends and foes. Strength: Plot.
The Pictures She Painted by Becky Goldstein
Long one-shot, English names. After a long absence, Greg returns to Tokyo and is reunited with Amy. Greg's parents are separating, giving the two young people something else in common. With all the emotions involved and the other girls trying to make them a couple, will this shared painful experience bring Amy and Greg closer together or push them apart? Strength: Characterization.
Don't Let Me Go by Bethany and Patch
Long multi-chapter, Japanese names. Mamoru is killed in an explosion. This epic starts out like many other death fics, but Usagi's grief is only the beginning. The death of Mamoru lies at the heart of a secret enemy's evil ambitions, born of a grudge kept since the ancient past, and all of the Senshi will be drawn into the war before the story is through. Strength: Plot/Characterization.
End of Days by Bethany
Short one-shot, Japanese names. This story details the very end of the Silver Millennium as told by Princess Serenity. It also includes flashbacks to the heart of her relationship with Prince Endymion, as well as his relationship with the Shitennou and an interesting look at the Earth's way of viewing the Moon Kingdom. Strength: Plot.
The Rose and the Flame by Beth A. Sundheim
Short one-shot, English names. During the breakup period of the second season of the anime, Sailor Mars and Tuxedo Mask meet alone at night and have a brief conversation about Usagi. The ending of this story falls a little flat, but it is written so beautifully I could not pass it by. Strength: Style.
