Heart and Shoulder by Elisabeth James
Short one-shot, Japanese names. A brief first-season story about Usagi and Mamoru discovering each other's identities, but with better characterization than most. Also, we get the unusual experience of seeing Usagi's pain and guilt when an innocent bystander dies at the hands of a youma. Strength: Originality.
Angst by Emporess
Short one-shot, Japanese names. After years of being single and going to a different school than her friends, loneliness begins to settle into Rei's soul, leading to - you guessed it - angst. Is there no love in her destiny? This story contains some nice scenes involving Yuuichirou and Mamoru. Strength: Characterization.
Eternity Sentence by Endymion No Megami
Long one-shot, Japanese names. An unusual take on exactly how Setsuna ended up being the guardian of the Time Door. This story brings us back to the distant past and tells a tale both familiar and strange. Strength: Originality.
Oceania by Endymion No Megami
Long one-shot, Japanese names. An alternate-universe version of the beginning of the miracle romance, casting Serenity as a mermaid and Endymion as a sailor she rescues from drowning. This fic begins with similarities to "The Little Mermaid" but quickly breaks off into its own new territory. Strength: Originality.
Flames of Seraphim by Eric Olsson
Long multi-chapter, Japanese names. I've only read through two-thirds of this story so far, but it makes the cut. Cliche plot devices abound, with strong new enemies and a new hero appearing, but the author uses them in very non-cliche ways. Unusual twists are thrown in as well, to the point where the reader is not quite sure whose side anyone is on. Strength: Plot.
