* The Undeserving by Dejana Talis
After reading this story, one phrase came to my mind - "One man's honey is another man's poison". Not everyone like utopias, though most believe it to be so. Not everyone has the same ideals. What happens when one such person decides to take action? Another excellent story that we have come to expect of Dej. ^_^
* Mamoru's Most Embarrassing Moment by KihinRanno
KihinRanno both delighted and exasperated me when she posted a deluge of fics this time round. Delighted because I could read so many wonderful fics at one time. ^_^v Exasperated since that means... I have to write 8! highlights??!! In the end, I decided to choose 2 representative fics, and leave the rest for all of you to read on your own. This fic is cute, hilarious and sexy... as Mamoru takes centre stage, embarking on the most embarrassing moment in his whole life. One other such comedy in the series of vignettes would be The Slasher. Read and be amused. ^_^
* Dreams Diverged by KihinRanno
Along with the rest of the vignettes, namely What's in a Name?, Gone Again, Three, Duel Iago, and some fics in Stationary Wanderlust - An Assortment of Vignettes this fic has a slightly darker cast, as KihinRanno explores the baser side of human nature. Senshi, princes, princesses all fell under her pen (or is it keyboard? =P ) as she portrays them as people with desires, greed, lust, regrets. Read and be entranced.
* The Dark Sacred Night by Dave Ziegler
This is absolutely heart-wrenching. Two thumbs up to Dave Ziegler who wrote a fic that pulls one's heart in both directions, from a sense of peace and joy and yet despite that, or perhaps, more due to that feeling, the pity and agony is that much sharper... a rare story focused on Ikuko, and do prepare some tissues.
* She's Come Undone by Papirini
You know, what is it about Papirini that makes her come up with the most weird, out-of-the-world, and yet fascinating ideas? A hardly plausible scenario, but because it's Papirini, everything seems that much more possible. -.-;; A mental institute, an... insane?... girl, a huge conspiracy?, everything seems muddled and confused. The only thing to do is to read and form your own opinions. =)
* Oak Evolution by Dejana Talis
You know, this story makes a good counterpoint to KihinRanno's Dreams Diverged. Both talks about making choices between duty and personal ambitions/ desires. But of course, while KihinRanno's fic centres on Venus, Dej's fic focuses on Jupiter. Fate threw five young girls on the road as saviours of the world, but do they really want to accept such a responsibility? This is on Jupiter's struggle as she has to make a choice on the crossroad to her destiny.
Overture by NeoAngelSolarSystem
A re-write of the Sailormoon saga, with some changes. Even though the writing is still a little raw, and some parts of the plot a wee bit flat, I was still quite drawn to this story, nevertheless. Perhaps because it's refreshing change to have Usagi depicted as someone who can stand up for herself, and much more independent than in the anime, someone who's not a crybaby all the time. This fic certainly has lots of potential. ^_^
* Final Exam by Dejana Talis
A fic that makes you want to go "Awww..." ^_^ A sweet farewell before Mamoru goes off to America. Specially for all Usa-Mamo fans. =)
* Shrouded Memories by HoNeY
A fic that looks at a rarely-explored part of the manga, and that makes it quite unique. From the perspective of Motoki, this fic attempts to address that certain segment of the fic where Dark Endymion had posed as Motoki's best friend. What is the aftermath of that? How much did Motoki actually remember? This exceptional fic tells us that.
* Deus Ex Machina by Dejana Talis
Not exactly sure what the title has to do with the fic, but it's still an outstanding fic anyway, that leaves us with a question in our minds. Why did she do it? There are thousands of possibilities and I guess it's up to our imaginations. Dej (and probably everyone else) already know how I feel about her fics, so I won't say more. Highly recommended. ^_^
* Together by Bainaku
This fic is like... a soft spring breeze. That heralds the start of the season, with flowers blooming, and green grass everywhere.I can't really describe it, but that's how I feel. There's a sense of peace and serenity (excuse the pun) in this fic. Or perhaps, more appropriately, this fic is like music. It flows and ebbs, sometimes soaring to the higher, more complicated registers, sometimes, going back to simpler, softer melodies. On Haruka and Michiru and the blossoming of their relationship. A beautiful fic.
The Dawn of Serenity by Jessica Pendragon
The origins of Crystal Tokyo. Would it be a peaceful transaction or would it be a violent upheaval? This epic-length fic seeks to find out. =)
Against the Rules by Heavenly Pearl
Centred on Ami, this fic seeks to develop her further by putting her onto the path to a forbidden romance with her professor. Added on to this, she has a single-minded rival who would do anything to bring her down. Would Ami survive this test, with her heart and reputation intact? Heavenly Pearl writes an excellent fic once again, playing the readers' feelings like a finely-tuned harp, as we delight yet worry for the blue-haired girl.
