* Reconciliation by emptywords
A yaoi piece on Kunzite and Zoicite, so fans of this couple should start cheering, since it's pretty rare to come across a good fic on their romance. ^_~ And a good fic it is. Actually, good is too mild. This is a first-rate piece of work that delves into the relationship between the 2 generals, and manages to bring out the the subtleties of their bond. Even though their relationship is handled in an understated way, I can still feel the intensity and passion between the two. On the whole, an excellent fic that i highly recommend. Do pay special attention to the last line - I think it sums up the whole relationship beautifully, don't you? ^_^
* Stiletto Boy and the Blonde Problem by KihinRanno
An absolute madhouse. Insanity reigns in this fic, as Yaten succumbs to his secret desires, and Minako is given a free hand to wreack havoc. Moral of this fic - NEVER Never Ever let Minako go loose. It's chaos, I tell you, simply chaos. *shakes head*
Still, what are you waiting for... go read! we do need some insane moments in our life once in a while after all.
Moon Over Chicago by Horosha
Even though the Sailormoon series has been transplanted countless times to America in fanfiction, this is one of the few fics I read that actually really makes an effort to mesh the two dissimilar cultures together. Horasha does a wonderful job of altering the canon in several ways to ensure a smooth transfer, yet keeping intact the core of the series, so it's not too dislocated. This is only the first chapter, and probably because there's a lot of background to set and characters to introduce, the beginning was rather slow-paced. However, it gets much better as we go along, and at the end of the fic, I was disappointed that there weren't more chapters to read. Intricate plotline and strong characterisation distinguishes this fic, and I think you'll be most amazed by the changes in our sweet little Ami. Looking forward to more chapters.
* No Place by Dejana Talis
A rare Artemis-Luna piece, though not exactly a romance. Of shared memories and a place long-gone. Dream-like, poignant yet hopeful, this is a fic to read just before you get ready for bed, for it's sure to linger in your dreams. ^_^
* La Petite Mort by Starsea
The title translates to "The little death" and only upon reaching the end of the fic, did I realise why this fic is named like this. ^_~ All the French in this one-parter confused me at first, but luckily, Starsea did provide translations at the end of the fic. In any case, this is set in Crystal Tokyo, and records an interlude between Zoisite and Ami, former lovers meeting in a foreign land. It's sexy, and probably made more so with the language for love, full of spoken and unspoken innuendos. Highly recommended. ^_^
* Rose Shelter by Starsea
Nephrite and Jupiter, before they were lovers. This fic is of a budding romance and somehow, the analogy of a rosebud kept popping into my brain... -.-;; Anyway, it's a fic full of promise, of slowly tightening tension, of whispers of things yet to come. Read and leave the fic with a light heart. =)
Two Women, Down for the Count by Ai-ko
A promising fic, that is likely to evolve into an epic. Usagi has to make a decision which may change her whole life... either to save her from the downward spiral her life had taken, or destroy everything she holds dear. Whatever it is, the stage is set and the die cast. For better or worse, she has chosen and now she must live with her choice, and make the best of it. Angst-ridden and heart-rending, this fic will hold you spell-bound from the start to the end (well to the end of chapter 3 anyway...) as we follow Usagi's lonely journey down the path of the unknown.
* Abbreviated. by Papirini
A collection of memories of a certain enemy in the Stars season. It certainly forces us to look beyond the evil and find the real person behind the evil persona, a person with a past, with dreams and hopes, with love and joys. Kudos to papirini for another fine-quality fic. ^_^
* from afar, she watches the rainbow. by Sokudo Ningyou
A senshi has given up her mission in life. Her friends. Her superpowers. To become ordinary again. Sokudo's strong language skills come into play again as she does an excellent job of portraying the uncertainties, the regret, the joy, the nuances of the ex-senshi's feelings as she's caught at a crossroad between her past and future. A what-if fic that explores the possibilities of such a situation. As for who the senshi is, read and find out yourself!
