* Ring of Fire by Papirini
After reading this fic, my heart was racing and I stared at the computer screen for a few minutes before composing myself to write this highlight. This is one powerful story. A story of betrayal, of misunderstandings, of tragedy. Something that could have had happened in reality. A story on Crystal Tokyo. On the eternal couple. On unborn children.
* She Promised by Kieran
An intense fic that speaks of love and suffering. After a battle, when one of a pair is the only one left behind, how would that person feel? An intimate look at the sense of loss one feels when the battle is won, but not the war. What strikes me most about this fic is not only the powerful emotions portrayed with well-crafted words, the beautiful descriptions caught my attention as well. A fic definitely worth reading.
Sailor Moon Chronicled by arcticrose
An interesting introduction kept my eyes glued onto the screen when I started reading this fic. It is certainly an apt way to start this story, written in a matter-of-fact tone and sprinkled with wry humour. This is a rewrite of the Sailormoon story, with some changes here and there, but it seems that that plot will remain more or less the same. Even though it is the re-reading of a familiar story, this author’s distinctive style captured my attention, and perhaps it’ll capture yours too. ^_~
* Tit for Tat by Adamina
Those who had read Adamina’s "Quid Pro Quo" and like it before would love this fic. It’s set 5 years after that story and Usagi and Mamoru’s relationship had grown and matured in those years. This one-parter flows smoothly, and I really admire all the vivid descriptions that speaks so eloquently of every nuance and change in the emotions of the characters. Do read!
* Missing Pieces by KihinRanno
As usual, KihinRanno has produced an excellent fic. that looks at the Sailor Moon saga from others’ point of view. When the Sailor Senshi perished in the last arc of the manga, others (the ordinary people) seemed oblivious to this fact. This story takes a stab at explaining this curious phenomenon, and the different reactions of people who were made to forget the ones closest to them...
